In what might be called an Uptown Entertainment Alliance (UEA) performance, the Happy Hour (or two) on November 19th exceeded expectations. Loyal community supporters packed the second floor at the Side Bar & Restaurant along with many new people eager to hear about the coming of entertainment and theater to Uptown! WC.
- UEA President Linda Foster presented the overall plans.
- Michael Hartman, founder and Artistic Director of the Ocean City Theatre Company, outlined an ambitious season of performances already planned for 2012.
- UEA Secretary and all-around facilitator Angeline May called for volunteers to “sign up at our website” and held high a stack of pledges from prospective ambassadors and donors.
The “sign up at our website” part surprised the Webmaster, who promises to add that feature soon. Until then, email contact@uptownwc.org to volunteer.
Too soon, the evening ended, as do all great performances, with a standing ovation for the UEA’s great progress.
